The Royal Visit

Okay so first of before I start writing anything, let me first apologise for not being here in weeks. I'm really sorry. Firstly, I was quite busy with school and secondly my little tiny cold got much worse and I ended up in bed for like a week and a half roughly. But I'm much better now...at least I am getting there...and will try to write much often now XD

So to the main agenda, for the first time in 22 years of my life I got to see The Queen. Yes, The Queen of England. As part of her Diamond Jubilee Celebration, she, her husband (The Duke of Edinburgh) and her daughter-in-law (Kate "The Duchess of Cambridge") paid their first visit ever to Leicester and more precisely to my university. How exciting is that?! I had to wait for 4 good hours in the scourging sun just to get a glimpse of her and I must say it was totally worth the wait.

Kate looked as beautiful as always and even more modest in person. What a lucky soul she is, I would so kill to be in her shoes, any day!!!....hehe who wouldn't?! Royal visits are a pain in the neck but it beats constant coursework and exams any day....you know I am right Kate :)

They also took time to take a look around leicester town and even attended a little church service at The Cathedral. It was beautiful to see 7 different religions all under one roof. I absolutely loved that idea. This is one of the reason why I love England, how multi-cultural it is. How different races can live in one country in harmony, of course there's always a few little mother******* who try to mess things up a bit but nothing too extreme.

Can't express how happy I am today. Well since its already 1am its more like yesterday. So for future reference to myself (The Queen visited, Thursday the 8th of March 2012 at De Montfort University Leicester at precisely 11:45 am XD). I know some of you don't really care much for this and that's cool. As always....."To Each His Own"

xoxo LuLu
