NYX HAUL | 2017

Just like majority of women out there, I love to shop and my soft spot is for makeup. So last weekend I took my usual trip down to boots after a gym session, just to look around the NYX stall to try and find some new makeup to play around in or to review on the blog. I picked up a few things that caught my eye and figured I share it with you guys, so you know what I'm currently loving. I love +NYX Professional Makeup, they're one of my favourite drugstore brands. Definitely in my top 10. Their products are so high quality and at such an affordable price. Plus the fact that you can now buy them in store at boots (which you couldn't about a couple of years ago) is so much more convenient.

Because I usually buy the products that I feature on my blog with my money, I tend to do a lo of research and testing before making any purchase. I swatch products a hell lot of times in stores before making a purchase. So that's why 90% of the time I love all products in my hauls. When it comes to reviewing products on the other hand, I will buy a product regardless of whether I like it or not, because that's what reviews are about. It's about giving your honest opinion (good or bad) on a particular product regardless of your preference. But for my hauls, I usually tend to stick to things I like.

Some of these products I purchased are re-purchases (i.e. the Pore Filler Primer,  Shine Killer Primer and Madeleine Butter Gloss) and some are new buys. I hope you enjoy the post and find something in here that you like/will like to try.

HAUL | BOXING DAY SALES

Aside the 25th of December, my second favourite holiday is the 26th because it's SHOPPING DAY! This year though, I tried as much as possible to limit my purchase because I have so many things planned for 2017 that I need to save up for. So I hit a few stores online only, of course. Ain't nobody got time for massive queues and craziness at the stores. The first place I always visit every 26th is Zara because they always have the best things on sale, plus it's one of my favourite stores. This year was however a bit disappointing. Not as many exciting things on sale as there was last year or the year before. You can do better Zara! Only kidding...sort of.... I'm only saying that because there was a coat that I was eyeing for months that I was really hoping would be on sale but it wasn't. It was still full freaking price! Damn you Zara!

I did also get some good stuff from the likes of HnM, Newlook, Debenhams, ASOS and PLT. Got a range of items really, from clothes to underwear, to sneakers, sunglasses, gym wear, accessories etc. I know it's not summer but I love buying sunglasses, at least these pairs anyway and that's because I love, love, love the shades by Quay. They're so gorge! I'm really contemplating about getting the High Key ones which is a collaboration with Desi Pekins. I feel they're an absolute MUST!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! HAPPY 2017

It's great to be back to a routine after three weeks of prepping for interview, travelling and eating my heart out at Christmas. I'm finally back in Leeds in my apartment and slowly getting back to a routine. I like the New Year! It makes me feel like I'm born again. Like every 'wrong' thing I did the year before have been scrapped and I now have a fresh page to start all over again.

2016 was actually a brilliant year for me, for a lot of different reasons. I finally made the decision to get back to blogging and for once I actually stuck to it for a full year. I did a lot with my blog this year than I ever had in the past 3 years and I hit a lot of milestones and exceeded expectations I set for myself - 27K+ views on the blog and 1K+ followers on instagram to me is mind blowing. I never thought I could achieve this much in one year.

I don't talk about my personal life in detail here on the blog as I try to stick to makeup and fashion related topics but I'm super proud of this one. Aside the blog, I have a normal 9-5 job just like the rest of you and last year I managed to bag myself a promotion after a very challenging and hard working year. Super thrilled and ecstatic about this achievement. Massive pat-on-the-back for this. Time to turn the dial even higher, aim higher, work even harder and achieve greater things!

Monthly Buys | March 2016

Today is the beginning of a new month and I am really excited because it's 20 more days to Spring. Yaaay!!!! I don't know about you but I'm ready for bright colours and sunny skies.

So for the first day of March, I was contemplating on whether to do a what will be my first ever Monthly favorite post or to do another Makeup look. But unfortunately both of them lost :p. I went back home to Liverpool last weekend to see my parents and we took a trip to Hereford for my baby nephew's Christening and his big brother's 2nd birthday, so I was way to preoccupied to do any makeup look over the weekend. But I had so many orders waiting for me when I got home to Liverpool that I thought it would be punishable by law if I didn't share the goodies that I got with you.
I'm trying to set a goal each month for my blog and I'm hoping that you guys will help me out. So this month's goal is to get to 12,000 Views and 10 Subscribers.
I know, I know 10 subscribers is nothing but to me, it means a lot. So don't forget to share this post with your friends if you enjoyed it, read it as many times as you'd like it's FREE ;) and if you are a regular why not subscribe and get notified whenever I have a new post and if you're new - Well hello there and Welcome to my page (don't forget to subscribe).

So without further ado, let's get this part-ay started:

Mini Collective Haul | NYX, NEWLOOK, KIKO MILANO

I made a post on my instagram a few days ago about showing you guys a few bits and bops I got from NYX. Now this isn't a crazy haul, it's just a few things I've been wanting to get from NYX in like forever but never managed to get my hands on them till now. I decided to throw in a few things I got from Newlook and Kiko as well.

If you are not already aware of this, NYX UK is currently not sold online on their website anymore. You ca now find them online at Boots, FeelUnique, Selfridges and Very (very is a little bit more expensive than the three).

Neon Craze | Henry Herford

Debenhams | £31.00
I must be having Spring fever because I have been really attracted to brightly coloured things lately and this is just a perfect addition to my collection. This is the sort of piece I wouldn’t care splashing crazy cash on. I can’t even begin to describe how much I am in love with this bag. I could make out with this bag if I could :p

Bubble Bath (OPI)

I always say instagram is the best thing that's happened to man (well sort of). I like trolling on people's pages looking for new fashion styles, new makeup ideas and my otmost favourite - nail lacquer.

I found this beauty when I was trolling on the popular page. It's Bubble Bath by OPI. It's absolutely gorgeous and is so chicé. Looked great in the pic and looks even better now that I've got it on (even though my hands aren't in the best condition - manicure wise. Apologies)

It's like a nude-pale-pink colour and I absolutely
love it. I got it on sale during the Christmas holidays for £6 but it normally retails at £9, just like their other nail lacquers.  It's a bit pricey I know but it's just one of those things you just have to have regardless.

Video Live On YouTube YaY! XD

So I uploaded my second video up on youtube today and gosh it doesn't get easier...still nerve racking as ever. I woke up today feeling a bit energetic and quite happy. The sun was up and the weather looked lovely. Decided on going to the park to have a lie in the grass and enjoy the beautiful weather and soak in some sunshine before it all disappeared (you know our stupid British weather...smh), but for some reason something prompted me to upload a video on youtube.

Now I already have video up on youtube which I uploaded like a month ago...It was on a try and error basis. I always wanted to upload a video but was to shy and lacked the confidence to. But I did anyway and I loved it! I went for holiday for a month and the internet there was really crap so I didn't really get the chance to upload another until today... So I hope everyone would watch, enjoy, like, subscribe, rate and most importantly support XD

The video is on my Mini Shoe Collection...

Just showing a few of my heels, Wedges, Sandals, Flats and Boots I have bought over the past few years. Some of which I constantly wear and others just relaxing on my shoe shelf. The comfortable shoes I swear by and the ones I hate the most. I will try and make this YouTube channel more consistent than my blogging lol :p

Summer Buy - 1

As part of my summer buys, I found these beautiful looking swim suit courtesy of Primark (good place for people without any flow of cash :p). I personally love the one on the left, mostly because pink is one of my favourite colours and also because I am a huge lover of bodycons. Anything bodycon is just right for me...it hugs you in all the right places lol

The polka dot was a great find too....loving how it makes my cleavage look ;) and I am always praising anything that is black and white :D I also love how sliming and affordable this buy was. All in all a great day well spent. If you are going on holiday and need a bikini or a swim suit and you are on a low budget, well then Primark is the perfect place to stop by.

Happy Shopping Shoppers! xxx

Too Faced Eye Palette

Now, I’m the sort of person who isn’t really into makeup, I mean I like the way it looks on people and I would love to master the art but every time I try I fail badly. On a normal day-to-day, I wear a foundation (Avon), Powder (Mac NC45), Mascara and my favourite pink lipstick (Maybelline Coral Queen 612) and that’s pretty much it. The only difference in my makeup when I am going out is a dash of blush across my cheeks and a change in lip colour (MAC Ruby Woo), which believe it or not makes a massive difference (to me that is).

I have always been in love with eye makeup but every time I put it on I end up looking like a clown. So I was looking for a new eye makeup to wear to my cousin’s wedding this summer and I came across a Kim kardashian eye makeup tutorial on YouTube, which I fell in love with in one glance.

Not to bore you with an hour-long story, I came across this eye palette completely by chance. It’s the naked eye palette by Too Faced. It comes in 6 different neutral colours. This is the only eye makeup I own that I’ve been able to wear pretty much everywhere without looking all made up.

The colours are really pretty and very pigmented. Using an eye primmer (I use urban decay) makes the colours glide on smoothly and more visible. They stay on pretty much the whole day without any crease and this is coming from someone with a really oily skin and you do not even need to retouch at all. All in all this palette is a MUST HAVE and I recommend it to anyone who’s interested, especially to makeup beginners like myself….trust me you won’t regret it! XD
