SPRING STYLE FASHION UNDER £200

Went to Cheshire Oaks with the family this weekend for a nice day out and a little bit of shopping. It wasn't the best of weather with the heavy rain but this outfit was too gorgeous to miss out an opportunity for an OOTD.  I've been trying to switch up my wardrobe these past few months to introduce more bright colours and cuts with more feminine touches that I don't usually go for. My style is usually more laid back and I go for comfort over trendy and feminine looks. But I'm growing up and my taste is growing with me and I feel spring is the perfect time to 'embark on this journey'.

So let's talk through the outfit.

The Wedding, The Dress & The Countryside

Had an amazing time in Worcester last weekend (well Monday to be precise). Attended my ‘brother-in-law’s’ wedding which was an absolutely beauty. Nothing too sophisticated or over the top. Just a beautiful, simple wedding and the location was to die for! I love living in tiny villages and countryside so this was a fantastic 3 day getaway for me. I don’t know what it is about the countryside but I find everything about it to be so magnificent. I love being in the open fields and driving miles on end. The air feels cleaner and fresher and nothing beats seeing animals grazing in the field as you drive past.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! HAPPY 2017

It's great to be back to a routine after three weeks of prepping for interview, travelling and eating my heart out at Christmas. I'm finally back in Leeds in my apartment and slowly getting back to a routine. I like the New Year! It makes me feel like I'm born again. Like every 'wrong' thing I did the year before have been scrapped and I now have a fresh page to start all over again.

2016 was actually a brilliant year for me, for a lot of different reasons. I finally made the decision to get back to blogging and for once I actually stuck to it for a full year. I did a lot with my blog this year than I ever had in the past 3 years and I hit a lot of milestones and exceeded expectations I set for myself - 27K+ views on the blog and 1K+ followers on instagram to me is mind blowing. I never thought I could achieve this much in one year.

I don't talk about my personal life in detail here on the blog as I try to stick to makeup and fashion related topics but I'm super proud of this one. Aside the blog, I have a normal 9-5 job just like the rest of you and last year I managed to bag myself a promotion after a very challenging and hard working year. Super thrilled and ecstatic about this achievement. Massive pat-on-the-back for this. Time to turn the dial even higher, aim higher, work even harder and achieve greater things!

R E V I E W | QUAY Australia 'My Girl Mirror Cat Eye Sunglasses'

This will be my second fashion post of the year and I feel this product is definitely worthy of the title. I've wanted a pair of the Quay sunglasses ever since I was introduced to them by Desi Perkins on her YouTube channel about two years ago. So since I was going to Bulgaria for the "summer", I decided it was finally time to get my hands on one and I knew exactly which style I wanted.

Now if you haven't heard of Quay before, no biggie! It is an Australian brand that specialises in sunglasses. Quay is pronounced like KEY not KWAY like most people's (including myself) initial thought. So without further ado, I introduce my new baby to the world - My Girl Mirror Cat Eye Sunglasses by Quay Australia

F A S H I O N | Black Peeptoe Open Back Ankle Boots (Newlook)

When it comes to shoes, I'm more of a boots girl than a heel girl and I think it's mainly because I enjoy autumn/fall fashion than I do spring or summer. So when I saw these Peeptoe Open Back Ankle Boots, I new I had to have them. Just like with my bags, a couple of years ago I started collecting shoes. I wanted to have a wide range of shoe collection, which I did but I sadly I had to give most of them away when I moved out of my old apartment because of the lack of space in my current apartment. However, I'm planning to move again and the idea of getting a bigger space has nudged my urges to start my collection again. This time to buy good, sensible shoes and as always, on a budget.

Simple but Chic

Happy New Year Guys!!!! I know I'm 3 months late BUT in my defence I was uhhm....uhmm....I guess I don't really have a good excuse for not blogging. But I have decided to start blogging again and I will be blogging a lot more than I have in the past (but don't hold me up to that :p)

So this is a very impromptu post. I was having one of my good days yesterday where my hair was looking great, my makeup was on point, my outfit looked perfect and I had someone around to conveniently give me a little photoshoot, so I decided to use that opportunity take some pictures for my blog. Hence the messy background.

A little back story to this outfit....

Scarfs?!?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?! - YAY :D / NAY :(

What do you guys think about hair scarfs?! I for one was never a huge fan. I liked the way certain people wore it because they had some pretty good techniques that made them look different and stand out. Because I have what some may say a big head :p there are certain things (a lot) that I don't think suits me so I don't necessarily try them. So today after a long day in lectures, I came home and just wanted to have dinner and go to sleep. So I grabbed my favourite long pink scarf and tied it around my head just to get my hair out of my face and I was amazed by the outcome. The best part is I wasn't even trying. It looked good (at least to me it does :p) and made me want to wear scarfs everyday now. I just need to learn new styles and find ones that best suit me. Now to reciprocate the same style tomorrow :( hmmmm! good luck to me
